In my little Progress sideblog to the right there, as I confessed this morning – yesterday came and went and I did not keep any of my resolutions for that day. The conundrum I face is how to reflect this in the sideblog… do I skip 004 and put today’s entry as 005? Do I continue with 004 and let the date gap reflect the missed day? Do I start over with 001 again?
Well, I’ve decided that clearest way to show that I’ve missed a day is to use 005 for today’s entry (you should see it sometime soon in the right-column) and let the day numbering show which days were missed.
I’d appreciate your continued prayer for me as I struggle to put feet to the commitment of my heart.
Hopefully, you see in these writings a man who is staying The Course and pursuing The Path amidst the pitfalls and selfish ways of being a son of Adam. I pray earnestly that my writing would encourage some of you by showing you that this journey - though arduous and sometimes tragic - is a journey of great satisfaction. A satisfaction greater than our greatest imaginings. The trials and refining fire of tribulation are to be recognized as a small shadow of the suffering of our Savior so that we can rejoice, as Peter and the disciples did, to be counted worthy to suffer for the sake of the Name.
